Adding a server to the server list - MC bedrock

Requirements

  • An Xbox account

  • Xbox Live/Gold (or equivalent)

  • An internet connection

Start

  1. Launch Minecraft Bedrock edition (Windows 10 edition - For people on Xbox, launch "Minecraft" NOT "Minecraft Xbox One Edition"

  2. Once the game has launched. Navigate in to the main menu from where you can see your worlds, friends and servers.

3. Navigate over to the "Servers" tab as seen in the screenshot above.

4. Click on "Add Server" a menu will appear

5.

  • In the "Server Name" field

    • This field can be called anything. For this guide we'll call it "Liam's server"

  • In the "Server Address" field

    • In this field, enter the server address that would have been provided to you.

  • In the "Port" field

    • Leave this field alone. Unless told otherwise.

6. From there click on "Save"

After clicking on save. You'll notice a "More Servers" tab has appeared under the "Servers" tab of the main menu, which will contain the server you just saved.

From there click / press "A" on the desired server you wish to connect to. Enjoy!

The server may have a red dot to the right side. If this happens, it means Minecraft is unable to find the desired server address. The server could be offline. However, if you know it's not. Please make sure you entered the correct address.

However, if that still doesn't work. Make sure your internet is working. Otherwise contact me because my IP to the server has changed.
